It is one of those days...the two youngest have colds and want to spend most of the day crying, the boy is telling on someone every five mins, the oldest is constantly throwing toys on the floor and when told to pick them up she acts like I just told her to cut her arm off, I just want to take a nap and even Baby Ike is joining in the act by giving me contractions. He better not decide to come early since I am only 30 weeks and my midwife is on vacation. Don't worry there is a back-up midwife. Needless to say, I am counting down the hours to bedtime.

Do you want chimichangas at home without the frying? Well, I will tell you how to do it. Get a tortilla fill it with hot meat, veggies or whatever you want, roll it up so both ends are closed, then using a pastry brush brush the tortilla with melted butter, bacon fat, oil, or anything else along those lines, now bake in a 400 degree oven until golden brown around 20-25 mins. The will be crispy and delicious.

We have been making our 4 and 3 year old follow along more in Mass and they aren't allowed books, etc in church with them. However, the 2 year old is a different story. We let her bring a baby bible and a holy card holder that I made for her. I actually made one for each kid, but she is the only one allowed to bring it in church. Any way, I took laminated holy cards (the first one is a card of their patron saint) and punched holes in one corner and then picked up large rings from Hobby Lobby and attached the cards to the ring. All the kids like to flip through the cards and it will keep the two year old busy for a whole 5 minutes or so. She also like to wear it as a bracelet.

I remember reading a post a while back asking what type of vitamins or supplements you take during pregnancy and of course I can't found where I read that. In case anyone cares to know how I make super babies...here is what I take:
Vitamin C
Cod Liver Oil
Chlorophyll (when my iron levels are low)
Probiotics

I just realized it is a three day weekend for my husband. I think this might call for a date night.

I hope everyone has a great long weekend!

Thanks for the chimichanga idea! I would never have thought of that.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteHey, where's the comment I posted last night? Maybe I nodded off before I actually hit the send button. ;-) I said thanks for the chimichanga idea. I haven't had them in years because of the frying but this seems like the perfect solution! Do you butter both sides or just the top?
ReplyDeleteHaha...I have done that before! I butter all sides. They also freeze well. I normally let them defrost in the fridge and then reheat them in the oven or microwave. They won't be as crispy reheated in the microwave, but sort of like store bought frozen burritos without all the junk.
