I hope everyone is doing well. Things are fine over here. I was able to get my
kitchen back in order, Edith started kindergarten since she was breezing through preschool work, and I am all caught up on laundry. However, most of the Christmas decorations are still up, the kids really need to take baths, all the bathrooms need to be cleaned and the kitchen floor still needs to be mopped. I am trying not to think about all that stuff and just enjoy the fact that life is running somewhat smoothly.
Here is what we will be eating this week:
Sunday - We ate out.
Monday - Sausage Pasta with a salad
Tuesday -
Quick Italian Turkey Soup and sandwiches (Everyone liked this soup even the 9 month old.)
Wednesday -
Chorizo Chili with Hominy and corn muffins
Thursday - Hamurgers, homemade mac & cheese and baked beans (trying to clean out the frezzer)
Friday - Tuna Casserole and salad
Saturday -
Crock Pot Beer Chicken and some sort of side
Have a great week everyone!

It's funny that I have that Italian Turkey soup next in line for the recipes I'm trying. Let me know how you like it. The chorizo chili sounds yummy! I bought a package of charizo sausage at costco when they had a promo going and I was wondering what to do with it besides the usual. (it is solid and not like the stuff we had growing up.)
ReplyDeleteThe Italian Turkey soup is good and all the kids ate it. I added the cooked noodles in the bowl and then put the soup on top of it. I also sliced the carrots instead of shredding them.
DeleteI wish my Costco sold chorizo! They only sell the hard stuff over here and I will normally slice and cook it like Italian sausage. I have a couple chili recipes that I use it in. It is actually hard to find out here and only sold at one store that I know of so we don't eat it very often.
I should also not on the chorizo chili...I don't put in the adobo spice and only 2 TBS of chili powder and it still has a very slight kick so if you don't like things hot I would start with 1 tbs chili powder.
DeleteThe Italian Turkey Soup looks delicious. Great menu.
